Interior module
The interior main module is powered by the 12 V on-board network (car cigarette lighter). The camera module is powered via a coaxial cable from the interior main module. It can be connected to the 24 V on-board network of the car via the cigarette lighter, but 24 V cannot be supplied directly to the main module. The bottom of the indoor module has a non-slip rubber pad and reusable double-sided adhesive tape for mounting on a flat surface in the car, ideally in the center of the dashboard.
External Thermal Camera
The external infrared thermal imaging module is equipped with a magnetic base and double-sided tape for installation in the center of the car roof. Make sure that the connecting cable runs along the edge of the car window into the passenger compartment and that the front view of the camera is not blocked.
Connecting to Wi-Fi
The NV500 indoor module has a Wi-Fi module that can connect to smart devices. Use the mobile app for personalized settings.
Device Interfaces and Connection Requirements
The NV500 indoor module connects to the camera module via a coaxial cable, which supplies 12V power to the camera via PoC (Power over Coax). Video transmission protocol between the main module and the thermal imaging camera is GMSL, coaxial cable connectors are FAKRA.
