Product description
KONUS Konusfirst-600 is an easy-to-learn entry-level telescope especially for children and astro-enthusiasts who are just starting to get acquainted with astronomy. The name of the series "Konusfirst" indicates that it will be an ideal choice as a first telescope. The kit includes everything you need to start observing right away. The model is best suited for lunar-planetary or landscape observations. The optical design forms an inverted and mirror image, allowing for successful replacement of the spyglass.
The KONUS Konusfirst-600 telescope is a short-focus refractor-achromat with a lens diameter of 50 mm and a focal length of 600 mm. When installing a standard astronomical eyepiece, the telescope is used for lunar and planetary observations, and in clear, dry weather, far from city lights, for viewing bright nebulae and star clusters. The surface of the Moon will reveal hundreds of interesting details, and the large planets will look like brightly colored stars.
Operating the telescope is very simple, even a child who is old enough to be interested in the starry sky can handle it. The optical tube is installed on a metal tripod with azimuth mounting. This is the easiest construction to master: focus on the object and observe. In the upper part of the telescope tube, a 5-fold optical finder is fixed, with the help of which more accurate guidance is carried out. You will first need a map of the starry sky, which is also available as an application for smartphones or tablets. This is necessary to know the location of celestial bodies in the sky at a certain time of observation. For the study of objects located high above the horizon, a diagonal mirror from a set that deviates by 90° is intended.
The telescope has a relatively low price and is perfect for the role of the first telescope for a child or just a beginner. It will help to show interest in astro-observations, while showing acceptable image quality. The delivery set already includes 2 glasses with a mounting diameter of 24.5 mm: 50x H12 and 100x SR6.
