Product description
INFIRAY (IRay) Saim SCT35 V2 is a compact thermal sight from a well-known Chinese manufacturer. The updated version of the second generation, which entered the market in 2021. Compared to its predecessors, the device received a number of technological improvements aimed at improving the quality and comfort of shooting in night conditions with difficult visibility. The detection range of tall figures at a distance of more than 1,800 meters is able to satisfy the requests of the most demanding customers. Saim SCT35 V2 will open up new opportunities for effective shooting at those distances where other, even advanced, night optics just fit. Aimed shots at large game can be made at distances of up to or more than 1 kilometer, in the complete absence of lighting. The unique possibilities were realized thanks to the introduction of advanced thermal sensors, made according to the latest 12 micron technologies and powerful germanium optics. The changes also affected the digital filling. More productive processors on the fly process the incoming signals, turning them into a high-quality image with all the smallest details drawn.
FEATURES:
Thermal imaging module
The thermal imaging unit is based on innovative vanadium oxide (VOx) matrices of our own production - iRay Sensor Ceramic. The size of the single crystal is 384x288 pix, the detector pitch is 12 μm. Unlike common silicon analogues (a-Si), VOx matrices have a lower temperature coefficient of resistance and provide a more stable image. The pixel density of 12 μm made it possible to improve image quality by an order of magnitude and increase the field of view of the device itself. The spectral sensitivity range of 7.5–13.5 μm is in the "window" of the transparency of the Earth's atmosphere. The long-wavelength part of the IR spectrum (LWIR Long-wavelength infrared) fully meets the requirements for detecting radiation at temperatures from -50 to +50°C. New FPA matrices have a lower temperature sensitivity threshold of NETD (Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference) <40 mK, which in in turn, it had a positive effect on the quality of the received image. The block works with a frame refresh rate of 50 Hz, it is possible to observe even fast-moving targets without loss of quality.
Lens
The Saim SCT35 V2 Infiray (IRay) scope is equipped with a wide-angle F35/1.0 lens with manual focus. 2.8 optical magnification and up to 11.2x digital zoom are available to shooters. You can approach the target both smoothly and discretely with a step of 1x/2x/4x. The angle of the field of view at minimum magnification is 7.5 x 5.7 degrees, which in linear terms will correspond to an area of space of 13.1 x 10 meters at a distance of 100 m. These capabilities are quite sufficient for comfortable aiming and tracking of targets moving at a low speed . It should not be forgotten that as the magnification increases, the width of the field of view will decrease proportionally. The front lens of the sight is made of Germania (32Ge), this material, unlike ordinary glasses of daytime optics sights, is completely transparent in the IR range and does not create obstacles for the passage of the signal. The lens is equipped with a protective cover with a folding mechanism. Focusing at a distance is done by rotating a low-profile ring with tactile protrusions for fingers. The shooter can manipulate fine adjustments while wearing winter or tactical gloves.
Detection range up to 1818 m
For compact thermal imagers, the detection range of more than 1,800 meters was the limit of dreams until recently. The developers of the IRay company managed to make this a reality. Advanced ultra-sensitive sensors VOx384x288 pix. @ 12 μm (NETD <40 mK) are able to catch the radiation of warm objects at "cosmic" distances for night hunting. This was also facilitated by powerful germanium optics with ideal lens geometry. An obstacle to detection will not be a complete lack of lighting and an obstacle in the form of fog or smoke. In addition to the high Infiray (IRay) detection range, the Saim SCT35 V2 has the technical capability of long-range shots at a distance of about 1 kilometer. For accurate performance of this kind of tasks, there are tactical sighting grids and a large margin of movement vertically and horizontally. The best tool for "sniper" shots at big game will be a laser range finder. You can choose the appropriate model in the corresponding catalog of our store.
Video and photo recording, Wi-Fi module
IRay Saim SCT35 V2 has a built-in photo and video recorder that allows you to record high-quality video with HD resolution. The Wi-Fi module ensures pairing of the sight software with any digital gadget. The volume of internal memory has been doubled to 32 GB, which will allow you to store dozens of hours of video and hundreds of thousands of photos. Direct broadcasts to streaming platforms or social networks are available within the range of a high-speed Internet connection. The branded mobile application allows you to independently download updated versions of the software without visiting the service center.
Eight target marks for every taste
The sight has 8 pre-installed electronic reticles, repeating the concept implemented in day optics, when the sight is located in the first focal plane (FFP–First Focal Plane). The reticle increases in size in proportion to the change in magnification, giving shooters the opportunity for accurate shots at medium and long distances by moving the aiming point. Tactical visors of the "Mil-Dot" type will be appreciated by fans of "sniping". The usual hunting options such as "cross", "semi-cross" and dot are 100 percent justified at the distance of a direct shot. The main advantages of electronic viewfinders are: the absence of problems with parallax and the "barrier" effect. The dimensions of the grid elements (lines and points) remain constant. You can comfortably aim even at small objects at a decent distance.
Color palettes
The ability to choose a color display palette expands the capabilities and functionality of a sight with a thermal imager. Depending on the observation conditions, target types and temperature contrast between the surface of the monitored object and the elements of the surrounding environment, the hunter can choose one of 4 color display schemes.
The following options are available:
White Hot;
Black Hot;
Red Hot;
Multicolored (Pseudo color).
Palettes with contrasting "hot" shades "White Hot", "Black Hot" and "Red Hot" are intended for observation in conditions with high temperature contrast. The optional thermal imaging module is optimally selected for the detection of heat-contrast objects in open spaces, on the slopes of hills, mountains, against the background of a forest massif, etc. They are more suitable for detection and shooting at medium and long distances. The "Pseudo color" color palette is designed for short distances and long-term observations. Soft tones do not strain the eyes and do not cause fatigue. The most "hot" spot on the surface of the target can be determined by the depth of the color shade. Thus, it is much easier to determine the trophy status of the animal, and to accurately point the weapon at the slaughter zone.
Ultra-Clear image quality improvement function
The proven brand option "ultra-Clear" now works on a more powerful "iron". High-performance processors with optimized signal processing algorithms draw missing elements much better. As a result, the shooter sees a clear and contrast image of the target with a high level of detail. The option is great for shooting in difficult weather conditions and complete lack of lighting. A clear picture has a positive effect on the effectiveness of shooting.
Picture-in-picture (PiP) function
The digital function (PiP - picture in picture) "picture in a picture" is familiar to many users of modern thermal imaging sights. When it is activated, an additional smaller window appears on the screen with a central area enlarged several times. The shooter, using the enlarged image, can aim more accurately, pointing the weapon into the killing zone. The small size of the window does not complicate visual control of the environment, allowing you to aim fire at targets moving at a low speed. The short grid intersection is also an added bonus of the option.
One-shot shooting and shooting profiles
An important component of Saim SCT35 V2 Infiray (IRay) thermal imaging sights is the ability to aim with one shot. Now you don't need to go to the shooting range and spend dozens of cartridges to bring the weapon to an accurate fight. The option makes it possible to shoot the optics in just a few shots. The great advantage of the method is the fact that the sight is aimed directly at the technical capabilities of the entire weapons complex, taking into account the ballistics of the ammunition used. The essence of the method boils down to the fact that after shooting, the arrow must point the crosshairs of the grid at the bullet hole on the target. The stamp is moved programmatically in the corresponding menu. To check the correctness of the settings, it is recommended to conduct a second shot. Thus, optics can be shot at any distance, but the recommended distance, still classic, is 100 meters. You can save the shooting results in one of 4 user profiles. Additional memory cells in each will allow you to adapt different shooting distances or different ammunition to the scope. In addition, the sight can be aimed simultaneously on several carbines or rifles. All that remains for effective shooting after changing weapons is to select the desired profile, aim and smoothly press the trigger.
Fans of the "classic" method of aiming at the average point of impact (STP) of a group of shots can use the standard option of bringing the weapon to accurate combat. Shifting the visor vertically and horizontally is carried out in the corresponding menu. The price of a click for different distances can be found in the technical documentation of the device. The range of the reticle is significant and will allow you to easily make long-range shots at distances uncharacteristic for night hunting.
Color OLED display
A full-size five-inch OLED microdisplay with a resolution of 1024x768 is installed in the eyepiece unit of the thermal sight. Full-size streaming video with extreme quality and color saturation is available to shooters. Technological equipment with a minimum level of energy consumption is well adapted to work at sub-zero ambient air temperatures. There is an option to temporarily disable the display when the sight is working. The image of even objects that move quickly without jerks and sticking is broadcast. Dioptric adjustment of the eyepiece within ±5 dptr will help to perfectly adjust the optics to individual vision characteristics. The eyepiece unit for the sight is covered by a wide rubber eyecup. The exit pupil is 40 mm away, which provides comfortable conditions when working on a large caliber. You can fire with tactical or sunglasses.
Corps
The scope body has also undergone some changes. Now it's modular design makes maintenance and replacement of individual units affordable. Lightweight metal, which has no competitors in strength characteristics, served as the material for its manufacture. The models of the Saim series, unlike their predecessors, have increased resistance to shock loads. Not all TOP models of competitors can boast of an indicator of 6000 j. Optics easily hold the recoil of "sniper" calibers. The moisture protection class (according to IEC 60529) IP67 guarantees operability during operation in any weather conditions, despite the presence of atmospheric precipitation in the form of heavy rain or sleet. The scope is able to withstand a short stay under water. Weight and size indicators are a special achievement of the Chinese manufacturer. A compact device weighing only 420 grams does not impose strict requirements on fasteners and does not disturb the overall balance of the weapon.
Feeding
The sight's battery compartment is designed for 2 CR123 power supply cells. The scope can work for more than 4 hours from a full battery charge. The horizontal location of the batteries, perpendicular to the direction of the recoil vector, completely eliminated the possibility of power failure at the time of high shock loads when firing with a large caliber. Charge control is available to shooters, a special icon will appear on the screen. You can replace the old set of batteries within ten seconds. it should also be noted that the scope can work from an external power source (Power Bank) using a standard USB Type-C cable connection. Thus, you can significantly increase the battery life. The cable is included in the delivery.
