The KONUS College 60x-600x biological microscope is intended for equipping school biology classrooms, university laboratories and professional colleges. The model package includes a 15x eyepiece and 3 achromatic lenses with multiples of 4, 10, and 40x (the latter with a spring-loaded frame to prevent collision with the sample during focusing). Thus, in the basic configuration, the microscope is able to work at magnifications of 60, 150 or 600x.
Product description
The KONUS College 60x-600x biological microscope is intended for equipping school biology classrooms, university laboratories and professional colleges. The model package includes a 15x eyepiece and 3 achromatic lenses with multiples of 4, 10, and 40x (the latter with a spring-loaded frame to prevent collision with the sample during focusing). Thus, in the basic configuration, the microscope is able to work at magnifications of 60, 150 or 600x.
The base, bed and all mechanical connections of the device are completely made of metal. One of the main advantages of KONUS College is the adjustable tilt of the frame: the angle of the eyepiece tube with the vertical can be from 0 to 60°. This design feature guarantees the choice of a comfortable position for work standing or sitting, regardless of the age and physique of the observer.
A large rectangular stage is fixed motionless: focusing is carried out by vertical movement of the optical unit. A rack-and-pinion focusing mechanism ensures precise adjustment. Separate knobs for coarse and fine focusing are located on both sides of the body.
The KONUS College microscope does not require a power source to operate: the device is able to use natural and artificial external lighting for illumination. Illumination of the sample with transmitted light is implemented using a two-sided plano-concave mirror, which directs light to the lens condenser. The brightness and contrast of the image is additionally adjusted by an aperture iris diaphragm with a light filter holder.
Due to the quality of execution, simplicity and reliability of the control nodes, the KONUS College microscope is often bought "on demand". This model, purchased as the first microscope for a junior high school student, will go with him to the graduation class, and then, perhaps, will help him in his studies at a university.
